 Vehicle Description
231 Buick V6 less than 100 miles on rebuilt motor by Precision Offroad in Gold River, CA. 3-speed T18 tranny rebuilt with the engine. 2 barrel Buick Dual Jet carburetor rebuilt by Guaranteed Carburetor. Engine/tranny rebuild was the end of 2003. Since the rebuild I’ve had no time for wheelin’, so it has basically sat for 4 years with an occasional start and drive to the local store. 33” Big O Bigfoot XTs (50-70% tread) with Mickey Thompson spare. 6” shackles. Leaf springs are under axle. KC Daytimers with soft covers. Deep center console with several 12v plug ins. Full tan Bestop with full doors, and black bikini top with black half doors. New back seat (not installed). Diamond plate rear corners. Con-ferr gas tank. Electric cooling fan. Warn winch on front bumper. Draw-tite towbar bolts to front bumper for easy towing to trails. Tilt steering wheel, power steering.
The bad: paint is flaking in several places and minor surface rust. Minor leak at the transmission and front left king pin. Windshield has minor leak, I have new window rubber, but never installed. Wiper motor does not work. Spedometer does not work.
It is a great toy for 4-wheelin’ and/or camping, the 3 speed is a strong tranny. However, it is slow for modern freeway traffic due to the tranny and rearend. It’s smog exempt.
