Vehicle Identification/History .1971 International Harvester 21/2 ton chassis/cab truck, Model 1510, vehicle i.d.# 114501h113804, fitted with a 2.2 yard Aristocrat dump body,type S225S,, 176134, GVWR,14,000-16000 LBS., was acquired by previous owner in 1985 from Shaker Valley Ford Co. who had taken the truck on trade from original area owner via Talleuca Truck Sales. Odometer currently reads 34,925 represented as original mileage.( I.H.C. ) For the 1971 model year., then of Chicago and prior to becoming Navistar,assembled over 185,000 trucks,73% of which were v-8 powered. The 1510 series was atop the I.H. C. light duty line.The base chassis/cab had a factory price of 3,818 with wheelbase options of 132", 149" & 156". The subject truck, popular with small contractors , farmers and lanscapers, reposes on the longer wheelbase of 156", has a chassis/cab curb weight of 4757 lbs.While their designation as a" collectible " is not applicable , these well built IHC's of the 60's and early 70's if refurbished to original condition, retain a modicum of value ,usually commensurate with the investment cost involved. It is reported that subject truck's investment cost to date ranges to the 14,000 proximity. Body/equipment/ trim/finish:The subject truck exhibits excellent sheet metal integrity, with no rust- out , collision damage or non-metallic fillers.Recently the cab unit underwent up-dating including replacement of the inner fender panels,hood panel and core support. Original molding trim and bright work,with minimal weathering, was retained. Truck was refinished with an acrylic Flame Red of good quality application .The hydraulic dump unit is a relatively new 2.2 yard box,by Aristocrat of Fort Wayne ,Indiana,type s225s with 14" black timber side risers, white bird decal trim,cab top running lights,king sizeed plated dual o/s mirrors.Over 5,000 invested in described body renewal,which was performed by Kens Auto Body.The 8 1/2" long,has a fiberboard overlay of it's steel floor.A standard chain drop tail-gate is fitted, as also a heavy duty, frame mounted trailer hitch system (Pinal hook-up)Wheels/Tires: This truck is fitted with black-painted,slotted steel disc wheels,dual installation at the rear and shod with Zenith 7.50 x 17 Super Highway tires.Tires currently have 75% tread remaining. (Interior):The standard cab interior decor has been refurbished , including the the black vinyl bench seat, painted trim panels, fiber board headliner, padded dash and rubber matted floor. Equippage is fully functional, including but not limited to,heater/defroster system, power steering power brakes, auxillary oil pressure and water temperature gauging, Chelsea hydraulic control, manual shifter for the 3-speed transmission is floor mounted.Other fittments include direct reading ( gauges ,in lieu of idiot light) gauges,cab insulation, heavy duty door hinges, dual full sized arm rests and dual sun visors(.Engine/Drive line/Chassis:)This truck is fitted with it;s original v-8 engine,345,4v carbuerated ohv v-8 coupled to 3-speed manual, durect transmission. Engine, transmission and drive-line including rear end differential has been rebuilt since 1988 . The front longitudinal spring suspension and cam and gear steering system up front has also been overhauled.Electrics are standard 12 volt coil type.As of 05/08 the 4 bbl holley carb has been rebuilt.Also since 10/12 the emergency brake was relined,pressure plate replaced,throwout bearing,clutch disc,pilot bearing,and flywheel machined.Asking price is 10,000.
