 Vehicle Description
If you take this 1970 Chevy Cheyenne home, get ready for everyone at the gas station, every guy next to you at a red light, and every person at the local cruise night to ask you, Hey, what color is that? The magnetic red is insanely alluring, so deep and rich that youll want to stick your fingers in it just to make sure its dry. Trucks are big time collector pieces now, and the demand for clean pickups like this is climbing, since we cant seem to keep them in stock. Most are either super clean originals or custom creations, but few come through that grab your attention as effectively as this big red one. You can speculate on the color, it does indeed look like Corvette Magnetic Red, or perhaps Electric Red from a Ford palette, but whatever the name, it looks like it belongs on a vehicle that costs six figures. Clearly they understood the power of the paint, so the guys doing the work took their time and got the bodywork straight, which was probably easy with a truck this clean. Regardless, this one underwent a thorough frame off, and it definitely shows. The Cheyenne trim adds a lot of sparkle, and they even kept the woodgrained rocker and tailgate trim, which is very 70s, and very correct. Bed rails will help secure your cargo, although the bed was equally well finished, so youll probably use a lot of extra care when youre throwing stuff back there. Great chrome, a nice grille, and, well, you get the picture. Elegant and understated arent often words associated with interiors, but the tan cloth in this Chevy works extremely well with the paint, which extends inside on the dash and even the steering column. It shows off the fact that someone was tending to the details, including a beautifully upholstered bench seat that fits like buckets, two-tone door panels, and a custom leather-wrapped steering wheel. The gauges are some of the best-looking instruments fitted to any GM product, truck or not, and this one also carries factory A/C with an upgraded compressor. Sony provided the AM/FM/cassette stereo head unit, and a set of carpets almost totally erases the trucks working class origins. Open the hood and if it isnt clear yet, youll realize someone has a ton of time and money invested here. It starts with the body-colored 350 CI topped by a bunch of chrome and an Edelbrock carburetor. The firewall, inner fenders, and even under the hood itself have all been finished with the intention of keeping the hood open. Long-tube headers feed a 100% stainless steel dual exhaust system, and its framed by a neatly finished underbody, including the unique coil spring rear suspension that gives this truck a better than expected ride. A 3-speed manual transmission runs old-school 3-on-the-tree shifting and a 12-bolt rear end sports a bright chrome cover. Slick Centerline Convo-Pro wheels wear fat 285/70/15 BFGoodrich radials and look awesome doing it. Do we love this truck? Absolutely. Take it home and discover how owning something a little special can make you feel like a million bucks. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Atlanta showroom.
