| Vehicle Description |
Up for sale is my 1971 Ford F100 Heavy Duty Special. It has a 360 big block and an automatic transmission. Sorry, but there is no power steering or air conditioning. I purchased this truck from the original owner out of Oregon state and had it shipped here. They don't use salt where it came from, so it was COMPLETELY rust free when I got it. Unfortunately, the past few Missouri winters have added some minor surface rust to the vehicle. I have been planning on having it repainted, so I wasn't too worried about it. The up side is, this truck runs and drives like a dream. I like taking people for rides because they are blown away that it doesn't have one squeak or rattle in it. It has been my daily driver up until recently. I don't really want to sell it, but with cutbacks at my work, I have to make a choice between the truck or my Mustang. It has a lot of new parts including:
* Rebuilt carb.
* New mufflers and exhaust pipes.
* New battery, alternator, pos/neg cables, and voltage regulator.
* New radiator, thermostat, and hoses.
* New drive belt.
* New brake master cylinder.
* Updated Pertronix optical ignition (no more points)with 40K volt coil.
* New spark plugs, wires, cap, and rotor.
* Newer exhaust manifold and donut gaskets.
It also has a set of almost new mud/snow tires on it, but they are NOT noisy and work excellent in the snow. There may be some things I'm forgetting, but I try to keep all of the records in a file. This would make a great restoration project, as it is already fairly rust free. Otherwise, it could be used just as a work truck. Either way, you won't be disappointed. Let me know if you have any questions and thanks for looking.
