 Vehicle Description
The time has come to put my custom 1960 Ford 4x4 Pick up for sale. I purchased this truck in 2004, and started its transformation. it was an 8 foot long bed, but I cut 3 feet out of the bed and frame to make a short mini 5 foot bed. I cleaned, sanded and painted the frame, painted the body and interior turquoise and white, put a 3" body lift on it, and some 35" tires. I put oak in the bed and rhino lined the inside walls and tailgate. I upholstered the seat in matching turquoise and white. I put an awesome cd stero sound system hidden in the glove box to keep the original looking dash. This truck has one an award at almost every car show I have taken it to. Since I have owned this truck, and finished its restoration in 2005, it has always been garaged, never driven in the snow and only been rained on a couple of times, briefly at car shows. I have truly loved this truck, and have taken great care of it. There are a couple of things that need some attention that I havent gotten around to fixing.
1. the engine is a Chevy 350 that is beginning to smoke a little. I was always going to replace it, but didnt. this being said, the engine compartment was never cleaned, painted or detailed. This was all going to be done when I got the new engine. (so I just keep the hood down at the shows.)
2. It needs a stabilizing bar on the front axle.. when I drive it over 40 mph and hit bumps, the front end shakes, til I either stop or slow down.
3. I havent driven this truck alot, mostly to local car shows, sometimes to work and back,so it does have a few small blemishes in the paint. One larger paint chip above the back window where I didnt have the garage door up all the way before backing out.
I honestly didnt know what to ask for this truck, and was shocked by some of the asking prices on this site. So not wanting to rip anyone off, but still wanting a fair price for mine, and considering some of the above mentioned flaws, I think a fair starting price would be $15,000. or somewhere in that neighborhood. Thanks for looking and call 801-556-3460 if interested. I do not not accept texts, or email. calls only. thanks.
