This 1986 Jeep CJ-7 is a nice driver in great colors with good options; paint and body are short of show quality, but nicer than most CJs we encounter. A black Rampage soft top and much of the trim and chrome are nearly new and in excellent condition. The Jeep is fitted with nice two-piece soft doors that convert into half doors when the top is off -- and they have the proper factory door latches for secure closing. Newer Goodyear Wranglers on chrome Jeep wagon wheels complete the look.
The interior is in nice condition, as well -- seat upholstery may be original but shows well with minor wear on the driver''s seat bolster. Interior floors have been rhino-lined for all-weather durability, and the roll bar has a very nice zippered cover. Gauges, switches and indicators are working property with the exception of the horn, and the wipers only work on one speed. A newer AM/FM/CD is fitted in the dash.
Under the hood is AMC''s venerable 4.2 liter straight six mated to a rare and desirable five-speed manual transmission, both recently rebuilt. It runs and drives great thanks to power steering and front disc brakes.
All in all, it''s a straight, attractive, unmolested and nicely freshened CJ7 ready to be enjoyed by its next owner. For more information, please call Motorcar Studio at 404-692-5250.
