| Vehicle Description |
| A Very sharp 1955 Chevy short bed pick up. Has 235 cu in 6 cylinder engine and manual 3 speed transmission, and big back window. Also has chrome grille and bumpers. Solid truck with nice floor pans and undercarriage. Very sharp 1955 second series wraparound windshield, side spare short bed with various upgrades. Kept inside most of its restored life. Imron paint applied in 1990 No rust through was present on repainting. Front bumper rechromed in 90, a couple of small rust spots present now, but the rear bumper is nearly perfect. Wood bed box replaced with correct yellow pine (Jim Carter) in 1990, one board (correct rabbeted piece) replaced this year (see picture). Cherry stain varnish will darken and age to match other boards but this takes a year or so. Gas tank went to Gas Tank Renu in Indiana, two yrs ago, not rusted thru, but wanted any trash out, and it is warranted for life. Master cylinder sleeved and rebuilt, along with new wheel cylinders, and all new brake hardware, shoes, etc. and all lines, three yrs ago, silicone fluid, and some lines are stainless. New fuel pump, lines, and two inline filters. New plugs, plug wires, and HEI ignition setup from Stovebolt. Rebuilt Rochester carb two yrs ago. NOS backup light assy, installed, and factory turn signals work. Factory correct heater. |
