 Vehicle Description
Offered For Sale by the California Automobile Museum

This 1953 Chevrolet 3100 represents close to 30 years of restoration work and it shows.

We now offer financing

Very nice shiny paint. I found a few very light scratches that should be able to be buffed out on the inside of the tailgate, on the exterior of the bed behind the drivers door and on the running board. Body is straight and solid. Chrome is in excellent shape with no dents. All glass and seals are in great shape.

This Chevrolet pickup has been garage kept since restoration with short trips around town and to local shows.

Interior is in great shape with no tears or stains. Seats, headliner and carpeting are all in great shape. There is a small dent on the glove compartment. All gauges are working properly.

The Chevrolet pickup starts and idles well. Engine runs strong and shifts well. Truck rides and stops as it should. Battery has been recently replaced. Radio even works!

The truck has gotten a lot of interest here at the California Automobile Museum!

I''ve been in contact with the restorer of this truck. Saying that he is proud of his work would be an understatement. This restoration was a long and painstaking process that took him close to 30 years to complete. Small details such as metal to metal contact between body panels were addressed with custom cut mylar spacers, choosing a 235 engine so there there''s a pressurized oiling system and using the existing generator body to house the 12v alternator. From what I understand speaking with the restorer, he used as many NOS parts as possible in this build.

Contact information for the restorer will be provided to the new owner of this fine truck.
