1962 Dodge D100 SHORTBOX sweptline in all original, very nice condition. The truck is EXTREMELY solid and rust free. The bed is in incredible shape, and the original tailgate is amazing for a truck of this age. The body is VERY straight other than a slight crease in the rear passenger sider of the bed. A very easy project as far as body work is concerned. Only rust is along the cab floors by the rockers and one semi-bad cab mount.
DRIVETRAIN: The truck has the original slant 6 225, with a three on the tree a745 transmission. It is not currently running/driving, but is very close! I have gone through the ignition system and replaced everything with NOS parts. All that is left is to replace/repair the distributor and set the timing. This truck could be running in an afternoon at the hands of a knowledgeable mechanic. There is possibly a problem with the trans, but the driveline was out when I got the truck (still is), so its difficult to tell.
Early Dodge sweptlines in original condition are getting very difficult to find, particularly shortboxes that haven't been messed with or customized. This is THE perfect candidate for a restoration or full on custom.
