Erics Muscle Cars is proud to offer this beautiful frame off Chevy Truck ! This truck fits squarely in the Action Series or Glamor Truck era for GM which covers the 67 72 era pickups, series 10, 20 and 30, which is the second body style or the C/K series Chevy trucks.
The Longhorn was introduced in 1970. It's a 3/4 ton built on the 133 inch wheel base and features an extended 8 1/2 foot bed. This allowed the Longhorn to accommodate a camper body that was 12 feet long. This was crucial to Chevys marketing strategy as RV mania was sweeping the country which brought about some changes in the truck market. This meant that there was a consumer who was looking for something more upscale than the standard work truck and more horsepower to handle the additional load (keep in mind that Chevys marketing efforts in the truck market were aimed at the V6 engine where they had a solid reputation. 1967 was the first year that V8s outsold V6 engines across the industry and 1968 was the first year that Chevy sold more V8s than V6s).
For the 1970 Longhorn the 396V8 engine of the past was replaced with the 402 V8 and this 1972 model has the 402 V8 putting out 325HP mated to a 3 speed manual transmission.
Features include: Factory 402/325 HP big block All original numbers matching Documented by title 34,785 actual miles Rust free Turbo 400 automatic transmission Power steering Power brakes Air conditioning Tach in the dash Wood bed Era correct wheels and tires
Recent work includes new shocks, brake pads and calipers, complete tune up, all fluids & filters have been changed, new tie rods and a front end alignment. This truck runs as cleanly as it looks.
