 Vehicle Description
This 1970 Chevy is one slick pickup. From the sizzling copper paint to the thundering 383 cubic inch stroker motor, its the pickup with the soul of a muscle car.

Rebuilt from the ground up about 7200 miles ago, theres not a single component on this truck that hasnt been smoothed, painted, plated, or detailed to make it special. Starting with what is already one of the best-looking trucks ever designed makes the task easier, but even so this one clearly had a ton of time poured over its chiseled sheetmetal. Most of the trim was shaved to give it that ultra-smooth look, which is helped in a big way by the billet grille and cowl induction hood. Smaller, color-matched mirrors replace the big clunky originals and the bumpers were tucked in a bit tighter to the body to give it a muscular stance. Wed be remiss if we didnt also mention the flames, which are not exactly subtle, but they work more like a pinstripe, tying the whole truck together without being dominant. Of course, that paint is show quality throughout with a fantastic shine that only comes from hours and hours of laborious hand work. A flush-mounted hard-shell tonneau cover provides shelter for the beautifully refinished wood bed, which is a show-stopper all by itself.

The interior is a continuation of the same attitude: stock with a twist. The bench seat does a pretty good impersonation of twin buckets and is wrapped in tan cloth so its comfortable for long hauls. Custom door panels are simple and plain, but thats their genius because sometimes less really is more. Power windows and locks, A/C, a tilt column, and a power sliding rear window are there to make this truck a delight to drive under any circumstances. The stereo is a powerful AM/FM/CD setup with speakers throughout the cab and an Alpine amp and subwoofer behind the seat, all housed in a very trick custom center stack thats made of polished aluminum and holds the Air Ride gauges and controls. A matching gauge panel holds a full set of Auto Meter instruments, all framed by a billet steering wheel with a leather rim. The whole thing is extremely impressive.

If youre going to make it look this good, it had better run just as well, and for that a pro-built 383 cubic inch stroker motor was selected. Dressed in copper paint to match the body, this torquey small block uses aluminum heads for weight savings, a high-rise intake to build high-RPM power, and a Holley double-pumper to keep it fed. All told, it makes some 450 dyno-proven horsepower, which makes this truck feel more like a Camaro. A custom billet accessory drive system with a serpentine belt manages the power steering, A/C, alternator, and water pump, and a fresh chrome master cylinder controls the brakes. The transmission is a TH350 3-speed automatic thats built to handle the rigors of the strokers output, and it feeds the trucks original rear end, which now hangs on a set of air springs to achieve that perfect slammed stance. A custom dual exhaust with long-tube headers and straight pipes gives it an unbelievable soundtrack and those 20-inch American Racing Torque Thrust wheels give a 21st century look to the old hauler.

There are so many tricks in this truck we cant possibly cover everything here. Rest assured, however, that it is every bit as spectacular as it appears to be in photos. Call us today for the details!
