 Vehicle Description
Up for sale in the Houston showroom is one gorgeous street rod, the 1941 Willys Coupe. The Willys Americar for sale was a line of automobiles produced by Willys-Overland Motors from 1937 to 1942, either as a sedan, coupe, station wagon or pickup truck. The coupe version, as you can see, is a very popular hot rod choice, whether your building a steel body rod and need a donor car or as a fiberglass model like the one you see here for sale. The price for this Willys coupe for sale was about $630. As war broke out, civilian production was abandoned by all US motor companies, in order to assist the military, and the Americar was no exception. However Willys was the one company that was awarded a contract to produce the now highly successful Jeep. But thats for a different time,.. The gorgeous restoration was began with an fiberglass body then while in the paint shop being lathered in ruby red paint the owner came up with a plan for the chassis. The frame was outfitted in the front with Mustang II and the rear was done with a 8.8" Ford carrier packed with highway friendly gears at the tune of 3.55:1 ring and pinion. Connected the rear end is a turbo 350 speed automatic transmission and the heartbeat of the beast is a ZZ4 GM Performance 350 Cubic inch crate engine. Vintage air was a must for the hot summer months and Autometer gauges help keep an eye on the rest. Between the Lokar shifter assisting in the up shift or down shit, the power leather seats or power windows, it makes for one solid road demon that has qualms about going to market or going to kick tail at the drag strip. Dont miss the chance to get one of the finest handcrafted machines ever made. Options on this gorgeous 1941 Willys Americar Coupe include: A/C, am/fm/cd player, power seats, power windows, tilt wheel, seat belts, keyless entry, leather seats and Old School Cragar SS wheels wrapped in radial tires.
