 Vehicle Description
Go anywhere and do anything with this ultra-rugged 1977 Ford Bronco. Thanks to a powerful 302, and a 5-inch suspension lift, this is the kind of heavy-duty off-roader that can climb the side of a mountain and leave you grinning all the way up. With SUVs getting bigger and bigger every year (even the ubiquitous Jeep Wrangler is positively gigantic these days), its easy to forget how well these compact Broncos worked. This Bronco definitely delivers, along with a sporty, playful personality and look-at-me cosmetics. The body has been finished to a very high standard, and the two-stage urethane offers incredible gloss, with a color bright enough to be seen from orbit. As you were probably hoping, this truck comes with a fitted black hardtop, which adds practicality, but can easily be rendered topless by removing just a few bolts. This one also comes with just about every variation of doors youre going to find. Obviously, the most fun in these is with no doors, but also included is a matched set of painted hard doors, as well as soft doors that can be installed with the accompanying fiberglass inserts for a custom fit. And speaking of fiberglass, along with those soft door frame inserts, this one also sports a lightweight fiberglass hood, but the rest of this Bronco is real-deal Ford steel . A set of black fender flares completes the look, and is the final touch, making this one an incredibly good-looking way to hit the trails. With buckets up front, this Bronco can either be a roomy 2-seater with storage capacity in back, or you can comfortably fit four by installing the removable rear seat. Theres a wide center console between them that handles your drink order and keeps things from falling out when you go vertical. All the original factory gauges are in place, fitted to a fabricated aluminum dash, along with a set of auxiliary gauges down low and a powerful AM/FM/CD stereo unit. A Hurst T-handle shifter manages the 3-speed manual, while just to its right is the control lever for the transfer case. Loaded with power steering, power brakes, and a brand-new, cold-blowing custom installed A/C under the dash, you have everything youll need on the trails right at your fingertips. Rounding out the interior youll find that the rear area is a massive cargo hold, so pack up your camping gear and go someplace nobodys ever been before! The top engine in the early Bronco was Fords venerable 302 cubic inch V8, which makes great power and torque for the application without adding a lot of weight. Dressed in Ford Blue and wearing an Edelbrock carburetor, it looks great and runs well, pulling the truck around with muscle car levels of torque. The engine bay is tidy, with clean wiring and no signs of previous damage or abuse, and its rust-free underneath. The suspension wears a 5-inch lift, as well as a Rancho steering stabilizer, so it can climb over boulders the size of a Volkswagen, yet the ride is still fairly comfortable on the street. The exhaust system is new and sounds cool with a great V8 rumble, and it rides easily on polished aluminum alloys and massive 35-12.50x15 BFGoodrich All-Terrain radials.
