For Sale is my 1947 Dodge 1 1/2 Ton WF-31. Clean title, ALL Original!
Red paint doesn't have much shine left, black fenders still shine. This is the original paint. Engine is the flat 6, and has never been apart. This truck runs like a top! Fires right up every time! No major rust and very, very minor rust in a couple areas on the cab. The only thing that has been changed on this truck is that it has been converted from 6V to 12V. I put new rear tires on it not more than a couple weeks ago ($900 in tires). The rear tires were original to the truck and still held air, but they were very dry rotted. I did keep them and are in the bed of the truck. The front tires are newer (not brand new) but no dry rot on them and plenty of tread left. Truck has a 4 speed on the floor and no issues with the transmission either. This truck does not leak a drop of anything!
Interior is in great shape, really clean.
The bed has newer wood on it, no rot on the bed boards or stake boards.
things that need fixin'...
lights on side of cab do not work, inner door handles don't work (you have to reach out window and open the door), front end needs attention (at 30+MPH it begins to wobble-have been told either kingpins or tie rods are the issue), passenger window and passenger windshield both have crack in glass (it does not leak), vacuum wipers do not work (I assume the line is dry rotted-I haven't looked) Speedo dial doesn't work.
None of the issues are mechanical or prohibit you from going around town (unless it is raining, of course)
Truck has some parts that go with it, not that they are necessary, but the parts are getting harder to find. Like new radiator, 2 carburetors (one is newly rebuilt), and 2 starters. I also have 2 lap belts and weatherstripping for the doors that may or may not be installed depending on the sale of the truck.
This truck fires right up every time, would be great on the farm, parade, whatever you see fit. Price is somewhat negotiable. Partial trades would be considered (no bikes or watercraft).
