With fewer than 100,000 original miles, this nicely optioned 1975 International Scout II clad in correct Harvester Red has a fantastic stock look we really appreciate at Motorcar Studio.
Fresh from a frame-off restoration, the paint quality is outstanding. It''s nicely detailed underneath, too, without a trace of rust in the floor pans, rockers, door posts, jambs or bottoms. Rallye stripes and original steel wheels with hubcaps in great shape complete the look. Glass, bumpers, chrome, grille, trim and rubber are all excellent.
While it has been thoroughly restored, I like the fact that it has not been "over-restored." The interior is completely original; door panels, dash, headliner and vinyl floor covering are in very nice shape. The seat upholstery shows well overall but there are a few minor imperfections. The dash is excellent; the wood grain surround for the instrument cluster, the wood grain strip down the door panels and the wood tips on the door locks look practically new.
Under the hood is International Harvester''s tried-and-true 304 cubic inch V8 mated to a wide-ratio four-speed manual gearbox. The engine starts and runs well, and the clutch and transmission feel just as they should. This Scout is easy to drive thanks to power steering and power brakes.
We have photos and records documenting the restoration. For more information about this great looking, great running Scout II available at Motorcar Studio in Atlanta, please call 404-692-5250.
