This is a 1973 Ford F-350 Super Camper Special, Ranger XLT Package with 27, XXX Original miles. IT was special ordered by the first owner in 1973, he used occasionally to pull a fifth wheel trailer. It is still equipped with the fold down inside bed type hitch, I''ve never seen one like it, it folds down to leave a flat bed floor until needed. Apparently the owner passed away in 1977 and his daughter and son in law either purchased or inherited from his estate. It has been garaged until my purchase a few months ago and has been stored inside since arrival in Texas. It has not been registered nor driven on Texas roadways but has only been driven a mile or so inside the storage area. It''s completely ORIGINAL, has the VERY rare 460 engine, most were delivered with the 390 engine, this has one of the first 460 engines, C6 Automatic transmission, A/C, Power Steering, Power brakes, Tu-Tone Yellow and Brown exterior, original goldish brown interior dash, seat and door panels. The engine has a new Edlebrock intake manifold, 4 BBL Edlebrock carb, etc. and runs great, It has a new distributor, plugs, plug wires, belts, hoses, etc. The tires are on the original 16.5" Wheels, 9.75" width with 85% wear left, it has running boards, original owner installed Fog lights, etc. The only know issue is that the original radio doesn''t work, switches on and lights up but no sound.
Included is the Original Owners handbook and CertiCard (Warranty Work Card provided upon purchase by Ford.) These Ford Super Duty Trucks are VERY rare, especially in this original condition, approximately only 3500 to 3600 were manufactured by Ford Motor Company from 1973 thru 1979. The "Super" Designation was only used from 1973 thru 1976 models, then dropped in 1977 to avoid confusion or order forms when the purchased the Super Cab model which entered the market in 1974. This vehicle is only being sold to help offset my sister and Step-Father''s medical expenses due to cancer.
