Super rare 1971 Challenger RT for sale from a private collection. One of 34 Challenger RTs produced that came equipped with a 340, 3-speed transmission (build date 4/7/71). A magazine feature car, Chrysler Nationals Invitational participant, and national show winner, this fully rotisserie-restored Challenger shows an extremely high-level of attention to detail. Using the original build sheet, the 2006 rotisserie restoration was carefully updated in 2014 by adding additional NOS and restored parts to even more precisely reflect proper factory part numbers and date-codes. The Challengers body and the transmission numbers all match the VIN, and the factory accurate-appearing 340 engine has a correct January 1971 casting date for the car. The original rear axle currently houses a 3.91 sure-grip to give outstanding performance (the properly set-up original 3.23 open rear goes with the car). Finished in original sheet metal and that beautiful, classic B-5 blue color, the Challenger has all the accurate factory-appearing overspray and extensive underbody detailing that youd expect! The Challenger has power steering, manual brakes, Rallye dash, AM/FM Multiplex stereo radio, dual painted mirrors, 3-speed wipers, and rear window defogger. The Challenger rides on 7 Rallyes and BF Goodrich tires for roadability. Factory Rallyes and Goodyear polyglass tires are also available at an additional cost.
