For sale is a 1967 Mustang Coupe. It has black plate California car with the 200 cu in 6 and manual 3 speed on the floor. Black plate is a valuable feature in a California car; it has the original license plate issued in 1967 and had been continuously registered in California since its original sale. A 67 California car with a blue or white plate is likely from out of state or has not been registered for some part of its life.
The car has less than 82,000 original miles, but is virtually all rebuilt and now very clean and reliable. The original owner, now deceased, bought it in Hayward, CA (Owners Manual included). The factory Pebble Beige paint is very nice and appears to be all original. The hood and top may have been repainted, but some time ago and done properly. Except for the carpet and complete dash and instrument panels, which were replaced new by the second owner, the interior is all original except I replaced the door arm rests and the overhead ceiling light which was yellowed and cracked. I also purchased replacement seat covers, front and back, and also the door panels, but never had a chance to install them.
I purchased the car in May 2009 with only 79,544 miles; I had PR Motorsports in Hayward do a complete check over the car with nothing major to report. The tire were replace in June 2009 with white wall-tires, including the spare, at 79, 608 miles and have a 55k mile limited warranty. So the tires have less than 1500 miles on them. I had R Mustang of San Francisco upgrade the steering to power steering and replaced the drum brakes with disc brakes. I have receipts for the work done by R Mustang.
Major upgrades: 5 new white wall tires Converted to disc brakes Power steering New upholstery (not installed) New door panels (not installed) New Remote mirror (installed) New door armrests (both left/right) (installed) CD/AM/FM radio (installed by previous owner)(original radio in trunk)
This car is not in perfect condition as with any old classic automobile, but its way ahead of the game. This is a Restorers Dream. There is one dent next to the front license plate and the windshield has a cracked corner, but it doesnt prevent driving.
The good news, this car was appraised in 2005 by von Cramm Appraisals in San Francisco at a value of $14,000.
