In 1970, Chevrolet introduced the ultimate performance for its midsize Muscle Car. It was the year GM lifted its displacement ban on all its midsize cars. For the Chevelle, it meant 360hp from a stout LS5 454 V-8 for the SS model. Today, it is one of the Most Prized Muscle Cars of all time.
The Chevelle has a heavy duty frame and separate body, ideal for installing a huge and powerful big block V-8. It has independent coil sprung front suspension and a live axle at the rear with coil springs.
