DESCRIPTION
I have for sale a short wheel base pickup for $4000 OBO, when I got it I was told that the engine and transmission had been rebuilt. It has 305 engine and turbo 350 transmission. The truck had set incomplete for years in a storage unit, and then stored outside for a couple of years. It was a father/son project that they lost interest in, and when I got the engine was stuck and had never been run. I soaked the cylinders with ATF and diesel fuel to get it to turn over. Cleaned everything up and filled with new fluids. Completed the reassembly and got it running and driving. I have no idea how many miles is on the truck when I got it had 2/10 of a mile on the odometer, I have driven it about 50 miles it runs good, transmission works great, The only issues I have noticed with the truck is speedo needle bounces sometimes, fuel gauge wont go over 1/2 when it the tank is full, and small drip from the power steering pump. Could be the tank or front shaft seal of the pump. The body has rust issues, see pictures (most likely from sitting up with dirt and leaves on it and in the bed). The bed floor has some rust whole in it I put 2 coats of roll on bed liner on it and it filled most of them. It would make a good first truck for someone. The biggest rust issue is the rust at each corner of the windshield post, cab corners and rockers and is repairable. The truck has new tires and the battery is about 2 years old. The interior is in real good condition, seat has a small crack in the vinyl in the lower drivers side. The dash pad is cracked, but had a dash cap on it (cap is just sitting on the dash at this time, it can be painted or left as it is, a tube of silicone is in the glove box glue it to the old pad) It has a Flowmaster muffler with dual turndowns. I put new tires on the rear, the front tire still had the mold line around the center of the tires, they are on GM factory rally wheels with trim rings, center caps, and new lug nuts. The truck dont have a/c. At sometime it had a aftermarket a/c but its not there now. It does have a new heater core and blower motor. The factory style Delco AM/FM with 8 track player is still in the truck, By the VIN the truck started life and a 6 cylinder with a 3 speed manual transmission.
I might take partial trade of other GM pickup (73-99) or GM rear wheel drive car. The truck is titled in my name with Antique TX license plate, when it is sold I will remove the license plate, we can go to the tax office and transfer the title to the new owner This link will take you to more pictures.
