THIS CAR MAY BE A CLONE OR THE REAL THING??!! IT'S A 383 W/A PISTOL GRIPPED 4-SPEED W/AN 8 3/4" SURE GRIP POSI------THE VIN TAG ON THE DASH DOES NOT MATCH THE CARS HIDDEN PARTIAL VINS, BUT THE CAR WAS REGISTERED AND LICENSED W/THAT DASH VIN IN MISSOURI IN 2008. MY THEORY IS THAT SOMEONE TOOK THE VIN PLATE (FROM THE DASH) AND THE FENDER TAG (FROM UNDER THE HOOD) FROM THIS (MY CAR) A TRUE 'ROADRUNNER' YEARS AGO AND PUT IT ON THEIR 'SATELITE OR LESS DESIRABLY 0PTIONED ROADRUNNER' WHICH WOULD NOW MAKE THEIR CAR A WELL EQUIPPED 'ROADRUNNER' BY THE #'s. THEN THEY PUT THE VIN PLATE FROM THE DASH OF THEIR 'ORIGINAL SATELITE' ONTO THIS CAR TO MAKE IT 'LEGAL' AND IT WAS LEGALLY TAGGED IN MISSOURI W/THAT VIN IN 2008 AND NOW OUR KANSAS HIGHWAY PATROL HAS GIVEN IT A GOOD 'KANSAS' TITLE AFTER CHECKING ALL POSSIBLE VIN VARIATIONS REGISTERED USING THE 'HIDDEN PARTIAL VIN' ON 'MY' CAR. IT WAS PREVIOUSLY TAGGED IN MISSOURI (IN 2008) AND WAS TAGGED/REGISTERED AND LICENSED USING THE VIN ON THE DASH THAT IS STILL IN PLACE ON THE CAR. THAT VIN SAYS THE CAR IS A SATELITE---BUT ALOT OF THINGS POINT TOWARDS IT ORIGINALLY BEING A ROADRUNNER???!!! THE CARS HIDDEN BODY VIN'S (LOCATED IN TWO DIFFERENT PLACES ON THE CARS BODY)SHOW THE LAST 6 NUMBERS IN THE CARS ORIGINAL VIN TO BE---147***--- AND OUR KHP CHECKED OUT THOSE #'S (W/THE 5th AND 7th DIGITS NOT KNOWN) AND SHOW THEM NOT TO BE THOSE OF A STOLEN OR A CURRENTLY REGISTERED VEHICLE. ALSO THE 'HIDDEN PARTIAL VIN' (LOCATED ON THE UPPER CORE SUPPORT--BACK SIDE AND THE ONE IN THE TRUNK AREA) WAS RUN AND DOESN'T SHOW TO BE THOSE OF A REGISTERED VEHICLE ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES. I RECREATED THE ORIGINAL 'VIN POSIBILITY' AND IS AS FOLLOWS: RM23*9*147*** THE 5th POSITION AND THE 7th POSITION DIGITS AREN'T KNOWN YET (THERE ARE TWO POSSIBILITIES FOR THE 5th POSITION AND THREE OR FOUR FOR THE 7th POSITION) AND I LEFT OFF THE LAST 3 DIGITS FOR SECURITY REASONS. CLEAR AS MUD??? CALL ME W/ANY QUESTIONS @620-249-7977. THE CAR RUNS AND DRIVES REAL WELL AND WE JUST DROVE IT TO THE LOT 37 MILES W/O A HITCH. THE INTERIOR HAS NICE BLACK 'LOOP'CARPET AND NEWLY RECOVERED BENCH SEATS AND A NEWER HEADLINER. THE DRIVERS DOOR PANEL IS NICE AND THE PASSENGER PANEL IS ROUGH ALONG THE BOTTOM EDGE. THE FLOOR PANS ARE REALLY SOLID W/THE EXCEPTION OF A SMALL PLACE ON THE PASSENGER SIDE REAR SECTION (LOCATED DIRECTLY UNDER THE FRONT PASSENGER-SEAT-BACK AND RUNNING SIDE TO SIDE FOR ABOUT 15"). THE TRUNK PAN IS GREAT AS IS THE REAR TAIL PANEL. ALL THE GLASS IS GOOD AND IT HAS A NEW WINDSHIELD W/A NEW RUBBER SEAL AND THE CORRECT STAINLESS TRIM RECENTLY INSTALLED (NEW PICS TO BE UP SOON). THE WINDOWS ROLL UP AND DOWN W/EASE (EVEN THE QTR. WINDOWS). IT DOES HAVE LOWER REAR QTR. RUST...BUT IT IS LOCALIZED AND THERE IS SPOTTY LOCALIZED RUST IN THE ROCKERS---OUR PICTURES WILL DETAIL MOST ALL OF THE RUST AREAS. IT DOES HAVE POWER FRONT DISC BRAKES OFF OF A 73 MODEL PLYMOUTH. THE PRIMER IS OLDER AND THERE IS SOME 'PATINA' SURFACE RUST IN SOME AREAS.
I BOUGHT THE CAR W/O WHEELS AND TIRES AS THE OWNER WANTED TO KEEP THEM FOR ANOTHER CAR THAT HE WAS BUILDING (HE DROVE THE CAR TO ME AND WE REMOVED THE WHEELS AND TIRES HERE ON THE LOT)----ANY TIRE AND WHEEL COMBO SHOWN IN THE PICTURES ARE FOR STAGING PURPOSES ONLY AND ARE NOT BEING SOLD W/THE CAR.
THE ORIGINAL COLOR OF THIS CAR WAS A MILD YELLOW---I'M NOT SURE WHAT PLYMOUTH CALLED THE COLOR. THE CARS BLINKERS, WIPERS, HEATER, LIGHTS AND HORN (PURPLE ROADRUNNER 'BEEP-BEEP' HORN) WORK. THERE IS A FACTORY TACH (SMALL) IN THE CLUSTER ALSO (CURRENTLY NOT WORKING). THE REVERSE INDICATOR LIGHT ON THE LOWER PART OF THE DASH COMES ON WHEN THE TRANS IS PUT INTO 'REVERSE' AS IT SHOULD. THE RED FACTORY 'FRESH AIR INTAKE KNOB/LEVER' THAT IS LOCATED NEXT TO THAT INDICATOR APPEARS TO HAVE ALWAYS BEEN THERE AND IS FASTENED W/WHAT LOOK LIKE ORIGINAL FACTORY SCREWS.
