My son is selling his 65 Mustang Coupe!

New 347 Stroker Mtr!!!!!

T-5 tranny, Flowmaster 40 exhaust and new custom built drive shaft (the torch from the engine snapped the old one! LOL)

Before I get to the nuts and bolts, a little back story on the car and why he''s decided to sell it. My son bought this Mustang with his Army sign on bonus about 4 years ago. The original owner had been in the process of turning it into a ''drag racing'' car, but had lost his job and house and needed the money. We were told the engine was new as was the transmission and exhaust (details below).

Well, a little over a year ago my son decided to ''brake it down'' to check out the internals and make sure the engine was in fact new and in good condition which is was. Unfortunately, a week later his ACTIVE DUTY papers went through (he was in the Reserves at the time and wanting to go active before his contract was up) and he was shipped out to Fort Riley, KS - JUST THAT FAST! lol

So... for a little over a year, the car has sat in my garage here in Collinsville ''un-assembled''! However... with SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED... and I''m talking about no more than a WEEK worth of work LITERALLY, if that... you can have a pretty bad ass Mustang to call your very own!! Honestly, the only reason he''s selling it is because he is active duty and does not have a garage nor the time right now to give it the love it deserves!!

Now the ''NUTS AND BOLTS'' - some of these are based on what he would do if he was keeping the car! Also, please keep in mind that while sadly it doesn''t look that good anymore, it can with a paint job and the engine back together!! All the ''now'' photos are of a car that has not been washed in over a year and it looks much worse than it is... the NICE photos (especially the one of the engine) are what it will look like not long after you put your little TLC - some assembly required work - into it! :)

THE GOOD
- NEW 347 stroker crate engine (not sure how many miles on it exactly but we have put less than 500 on it).
- NEW T-5 transmission.
- NEW Flowmaster 40 exhaust.
- NEW custom made drive shaft
- Very, VERY little rust on the body
- Garage kept ever since I have owned it
- Have new carpet for the interior just needs new floorboards first - they are not rusted out, just thin and crinkle.

THE BAD
- Paint job (needs one) - clear coat is peeling
- The entire rear end needs to be re-done (leaf springs and differential), differential is not BAD per-say, just needs a 9" one for the amount of torch the engine is putting out (refer to busted drive shaft comment from earlier! LOL)
- He would recommend replacing the brakes all around, the ones that are on it are drums and look like they have been on it since the 60''s. He was going to convert it to brake discs all around but you can do what you want.
- The floorboards need to be cut out and a new one needs to be welded on. You can buy new floorboards for $200-350 online.
- Most of the interior needs to be redone (the dashboard and the seats) Gauges all work. They are not in the worst of conditions, however they are not in the condition I would want my finished 65 mustang to be in.
-The engine does need to be put back together, but I do still have all the components to it neatly stored in my garage.

Like I said... with SOME ASSEMBLY REQUIRED you can have a bad ass 65 mustang to call your own!! Serious inquiries only please! Asking $8000 for it OBO but please do not LOW BALL... this is a great car and she sounds MEAN AS HELLand will PUT YOU BACK IN YOUR SEAT when she''s running... and you can have her up and running in no time!! :)

THANKS FOR LOOKING
