 Vehicle Description
This is a "barn-find", fully loaded, straight, clean Buick Gran Sport that has been in dry storage since owner died in 1990. It was regularly started during that period and has a very strong 455 and stout BA trans. It has been a high-plains desert car, therefore has no rust. The car was repainted the original bamboo yellow many years ago, and the paint looks good from 10 feet, but will need to be redone if you wish to show. If you are familiar with muscle cars of the era, the GS was considered to be the "banker's muscle car" and this one has most options that were available: tilt, cruise, A/C, power windows, seat and locks. It does not have the gauge package. Ram Air components are all present. With the exception of the dash pad, woodgrain and package shelf, the interior appears to be virtually new. We have had our mechanic go through the car replacing all that it needed. Unfortunately, the original carb is missing; I am not certain that all other numbers match, but am pretty certain they are. This 350 HP, 500+ ft lbs of torque 455, makes this car a VERY strong , but reliable, driver. We believe the 62,000 miles to be accurate. This is a car that you can use and drive right away, and continue to tweak cosmetically to bring it back to "like new" condition. We had plan to make this part of our collection, but we have another project we'd like to pursue. Feel free to email for more info; the car is available to view just about any time. KNOWLEDGEABLE inquiries only, please. Will consider all reasonable offers, but trades are discouraged.
