This car is finished in Orange and Black and has a Black vinyl interior. This car was originally sold in Southern California and spent most of its life in California and Nevada,, which has only helped to preserve the car and which is one of the reasons why it is in such beautiful, rust free condition. This 1970 Dodge Charger R/T SE was brought to Massachusetts in 2003. The current owner purchased the car in 2004 and finished the restoration in 2006. Vinyl top and car color are correct to color-code for this vehicle year. During the restoration, the car was completely disassembled, and all body panels were painted off the car and then reassembled. The engine is not the original engine; however, it is the correct 440 HP engine which has been rebuilt with a 50HP increase from 375 HP to 425 HP. It has a Demon 750 carburetor and Mopar electric ignition, air cleaner, valve covers and exhaust manifolds are correct for 1970. Steering box and Brake booster, brakes, shocks and leaf springs were also changed at the time of restoration. The Car is an original A/C vehicle. All of the components are there except A/C Compressor and condenser, which are readily available if A/C is desired. The Car has a rebuilt 727 automatic transmission with a limited slip 323 rear end. In addition, the car features power windows, AM/FM stereo with CD and remote changer. New tires were installed at the beginning of 2012 and since the restoration there were only 3,800 miles put on the car. This vehicle is rare and to find one in this condition is fortunate to say the least. There were only 1,452 RT/SE Chargers produced in 1970 so how many might there be in existence today? This car has been driven sparingly but has NEVER seen anything but sunny weather. In addition, the car is stored in a climate controlled garage year round.
