| Vehicle Description |
1962 Oldsmobile Dynamic 88 Convertible Coupe; mileage reads 23,000; located in Canton, NY 13617; clear title; silver body with black top and with dark red & white interior; Rocket 394 cubic inch V8 motor with 2 barrel carb; the 1962 Olds Conv. Coupe is, in many experts’ opinion, one of the finest designed American classics of the early ‘60's at the advent of the classic muscle car era.
NADA pricing of this model is: $13,400 Low Retail Value, $29,200 Avg. Retail Value & $43,000 High Retail Value. On a 1-5 rating scale with 1 being showroom quality and 5 being a parts car, this car is all of a 3.
Full Disclosure: I am unsure if mileage is original or if the mileage has turned over; while paint is decent this car deserves paint touch-up or possibly a new paint job; conv. top and window are good with slight wear on passenger side edge of top ; power top retractable motor does not work; body is straight with no apparent damage - appears that lower edge of body had some previous rust repair; trunk liners are in good shape except for bottom fabric piece; all chrome & glass are good; interior seats have no rips or tears and are in above average shape; dash & instrumentation are very good; this car was registered and on the road (passed New York State Inspection Standards) in 2005 and ran very good and was very enjoyable to drive and certainly had curb appeal and drew the interest of many fellow motorists; I have stored the car in my garage for the last 4 years due to health issues (the man I bought it from also stored it undercover)
Misc: wide white sidewall tires with spinner hup caps; AM radio; clock; power steering and brakes; new replacement boot for top when it is down; while in college I owned a 1962 Olds and like a fool I sold it back then for $1000 - as I approached retirement age I bought this car - I hate to part with my “little sweetheart” but I now must move and won’t have the garage storage space (also my son has been accepted to graduate pharmacy school).
1962 Specs: production for this model was 12,212; base price in 1962 was $3,381; wheelbase is 123 “; length is 214 ; weight is 4,590 lbs
