This is my personnel car that I have owned for 19 years. We have enjoyed it immensely , but rarely get a chance to drive it but when we when we do take it out is just to dinner ,or a party or a Sunday drive . It has always been garage kept in a semi heated garage and never driven in winter and almost never in rain. The only reason I am selling this car is we are moving south to a condo and only have garage space for 1 car. The car is a pleasure to drive and has never ever let me down. It is a good solid driving Machine that I would be confident in driving across country .I replaced the top about 6 years ago and had the original glass put in it.[$2,700 ]for the top of the line top ,it still looks new and it is in great working condition. The interior is in great condition, the leather is still soft and supple. The rugs are in good condition just a bit faded from there original color. I had dash mats costume made to help protect the dash also in good condition. The fender extensions are all perfect as well as the flap that sits on the rear bumper, I see so many of them on the same cars that are usually damaged or cracked. I have the original books and I believe a extra key.The full size spare is in tack along with the original jack. I will also include the 1776 Cadillac winter dust cover that was also custom made for the car it's still like new. The body, frame, doors, trunk, hood, fender walls, on this car are all very solid .The only real draw back is the paint is a bit faded and has some checking a few tiny very minimal blemishes on a edge near chrome on deck lid. I always wanted to put a nice paint job on this car but never wanted to take it out in the winter to have it done and when summer came along I did not want to tie it up. It still looks great the way it is ,and it always turns heads where ever I go. This car is worthy and solid if someone wanted to go for the top notch paint job, it is collector quality. The windows still fly up and down, the power seats all work,as well as the power trunk latch, automatic head lite controls, the original 8 track player, interior lights clock as well as mirrors.I did have a aftermarket 6 stack c d changer in the trunk with a remote control access in front. You won't find any holes or stories on this car.It is not so nice that you do not want anybody touching it, but you can get in it go where you want and still feel proud driving it and not worry that some one will lean on it. {I guess that's the best way to describe it.Just drive it!} As maybe you can tell I am very passionate about this car. I was hoping to keep it in the family but unfortunately I can not. 1976 was the last year of the big Cadillac convertibles. They were ahead of their time and this classic body style will endure. It is a front wheel drive car with that 500 cube v 8 that will burn the tires and can get out of it's own way when it needs to. They are far from fragile and you can fit the whole family unlike most convertibles today. Oh! by the way color is everything in these cars. There were a lot of hideous colors produced in the 75 and 76 Eldo's. I think this is one of the best color combinations you could buy Fire-thorn Red with a White Top with White interior .Many came with a bench seat but if the wife drove the car Dad could not stretch his legs. This one has the 60/ 40 power split bench seat. Plenty of room to relax if Mom decides to drive. I would hope who ever buys this car will enjoy it as much as my family has over the years. Please feel free to email me with any questions. I will add a few pictures with the white top up soon I just realized I had not posted any.
e-mail me if you have questions..... I will trade for Chevy Pick-Up 45'-55' Model 3100 in nice condition or any other Classic Pick-up Track.
