All the original gauges are fully operational, including the tach tucked into the center of the auxiliary gauge pod, and the original AM/FM radio remains in the dash. A recent white power convertible top, complete with glass rear window and matching white boot, has been installed, giving the Chevelle a sleek look top up or top down. The ultra-clean trunk offers spatter-finish paint, a new trunk mat, and a full-sized spare with jack assembly. With 396 cubic inches under the hood, performance is impressive. The block is a date-code correct replacement, fully rebuilt and beautifully detailed. The extra-tall air cleaner funnels the air, while a stock intake and cast iron exhaust manifolds handle the rest. Proper Chevy Orange paint was used on the block and heads, with bright custom chrome valve covers spelling out 396 in block letters give it a mild custom look. Power steering and brakes are always nice to have on your big block cruiser, as is the automatic transmission that makes performance as easy as planting your right foot. Underneath, the floors are rock solid, theres a fresh dual exhaust system with throaty glasspack-style mufflers, and a heavy-duty 12-bolt rear end. Handsome 14-inch SS style wheels are a timeless addition, and wear 225/70/14 white letter radials. A drop-top Chevelle doesnt have to be expensive to be fun, and this one has all the right parts.
