| Vehicle Description |
1966 was the very first year that Ford put out the LTD model line, which makes this car a Collectors Item. We have all of the original paperwork that came with the car when it was purchased from the Hull-Dobbs dealership here in Memphis. It would be easy to turn this into a show car as it is in overall good condition. It has antique plates on it from Mississippi.
This car was bought by our family when it was brand new in July of 1966 and has been parked under a covered garage it's entire life, so there is very little rust except on the floor of the trunk where it was exposed to the weather. The floorboards are solid, the door frames, the trunk and hood frames are free of rust.
It has a 289HP 2-Barrel V8 engine with a 3-forward speed Automatic Transmission and it runs good. It has Power Steering, four wheel drum Manual Brakes, and factory installed Air Conditioning that needs to be re-charged with freon. All of the lights, blinkers, wipers, and horn works. It has manual windows and all of them work except the drivers side wing window. It doesn't leak when it rains or when you wash the car.
The exterior color is a factory special order color "Silver Mink" which is a Thunderbird factory color. The paint job is in good shape with only minor imperfections, and the body is straight for the most part, with only a few small dents and scratches. This car has never been involved in a major accident.
The interior is dark blue with a bench seat in the front. Both the front and rear seats have been recently been re-upholstered in a dark blue cloth fabric. The dark blue carpet is in good shape. The headliner has two small holes in it, and the top of the dashboard is cracked.
The metal ID tag inside the driver's door has these numbers:
6A67C277049
63F 92 26G 634305 1 7

The car is located in northern Mississippi just south of Memphis, TN. If you'd like to take a look at it and take a test drive, just let me know and we can make an appointment any day of the week. My cell phone number is 901-359-5741 and my name is Tom.
The winning bidder is responsible for picking up the vehicle from our home, and transporting it to it's destination. |
