| Vehicle Description |
| Up for sale is a beautiful 1970 Corvette convertible with the original matching #'s 350, 300hp, auto,air.ps.pb,tilt and has the original hardtop. The odometer read 86,490 when I purchased it about three years ago and now reads 87,425 which I was told was original miles. I purchased the car from a well know restorer of collectible cars in the state of Michigan who's nickname is "The Motor City Maestro". He is a former GM executive and along with his friend Murl "Pinky - Mr Chevy" Randall work on many restorations together and display their cars in various northern Michigan car shows. He told me he had owned the car twice. He sold the car back to the person he had bought it from and then bought it back and owned it for about ten years. The following had just been done when I purchased it. The motor had great compression so the block was left alone. The heads were redone with new seals, guides and hardened valves to accomodate today's unleaded gas. A new oil pan, oil, water, and fuel pump were installed along with new wires, alternator, quality reproduction chrome and a small cam. It runs and shifts perfect. The car does have factory air but the air compressor needs replaced or rebuilt. I was also told that the transmission seals had been replaced but I have had a leak since I purchased it along with a leak in the rear end seals. Not sure what this could be if not the seals but I have allowed a $1000 reduction in my price for these repairs to be done. The disc brakes were replaced with stainless steel calipers a few years back. I replaced the tires with BF Goodrich T/A'S P225/70 R15 and the rally wheels are perfect. The interior has the somewhat rare green color and has new green leather seat covers, new door panels and gauge housing. All gauges work (battery gauge is somtimes tempermental) along with the turn signals ect. Carpet is not new but looks new. The body is one of the straightest I've ever seen and the paint is gorgeous. All door jambs, hood, and headlight housings have and excellent fit. The door jambs themselves have new rubber and the paint in this area looks very professional. All and all this is a very nice Corvette. If you would like to see the car or have other questions call 419-698-3525. I am not interested in trades or individuals who are not serious. Price just Reduced!! Thank you and enjoy! |
