What makes this 'Stang so great is that it is a rust-free fastback conversion from a coupe with almost all the body work done. Elliot had it powder-blasted as soon as he got the car from California, and said that there is still some minor body work to be done on the driver's door and left front fender. This car has a new passenger-side floorpan, front apron and radiator support, as well as an additional support beam for the roof, and all the necessary metal to support the interior panels and fold-down rear seats. This car had original A/C, manual steering and drum brakes, all of which has been removed, and comes with the 8-cylinder engine and automatic transmission that Elliot got it with, which may or may not run, and may or may not be VIN-matching. We think that this car is a great project car for any experienced restorer, as it is a rust-free fastback with a very solid body and frame, and comes with an engine and transmission.
