Vehicle Appraisal
Steven Linden 2000

Date of Appraisal: March 22nd, 2012
Type of Valuation: FMV Purpose of Appraisal: Sale

Vehicle Manufacturer: Chevrolet Model: Bel Air 4 Door Sedan
Year: 1957 VIN: C57T295129 Plate: A47 3LM (NY)
Mileage Per Odometer: 36,980.5 Engine: 235 6 Cyl. Transmission: 3-speed manual
Color Ext: Inca Silver Top: Ivory Int: Black / Red

Observed equipment: All standard 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air equipment plus am radio, seat covers, floor mats, heater.

Provenance: The vehicle has been in the same family since new. The current owner has a Transferable New York State Registration. Documentation includes the original Sales Order (11/14/57), and the Original Bill of Sale (11/19/57) as well as service receipts from 1999 V 2005. The VIN indicates that the vehicle is a 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air that was equipped with a 6 cylinder engine and that was built in the Tarrytown, New York plant.

Comments: The 1957 Chevrolet Bel Air is the quintessential 1950s American classic car. The market for these cars is active with demand slightly outpacing supply, which has the effect of pushing prices modestly higher on an annual basis.
The 4 Door Sedan is not as desirable as the 2 Door or the Convertible models, but the 4 Door model has gained in popularity over the past three years as prices of the other models have climbed.
This car would be particularly attractive to collectors because of the one family owner history, excellent documentation, and condition including mechanical work performed between 1999 and 2005 including having the entire drive-train rebuilt.
