This 1955 Thunderbird has been frame off restored. Finished in base coat/clear coat in it's original color of Goldenrod Yellow (color code V). Less than 5% of all Thunderbirds produced in 1955 were this color. This car was produced 4/23/1955, an early example as Goldenrod Yellow was a mid year April introduction. The frame off restoration was completed in 2008 and driven less than 1000 miles since. The Odometer shows 37500 miles which is believed to be original, but cannot be confirmed. Rebuilt 292 V8 engine (less than 500 miles ago). Correct tea pot style Holley 4 barrel carburetor. Fordomatic 3 speed automatic transmission. Power drum brakes, power steering, power windows, power seat, air conditioning and both tops. Correct black soft top with beautiful powder coated frame. Completely restored correct non porthole hard top with storage stand. 6 volt system converted to 12 volt with electric fuel pump. Correct trunk matt, Firestone spare and jack. Fully restored correct black and yellow interior(trim code D). All gauges and lights work as they should. Four Kelsey Hayes style true wire wheels, hand made in the USA and like new Firestone white wall radial tires. There are four stock wheels and new wire, clip on style, hub caps with red centers that also come with the car. If you want a car that will always be a true classic to drive or show, this is your car. There is only one minor blemish on the rear bumper which is not noticeable in the photos.
