DESCRIPTION

The seventh-generation Ford Thunderbirds (1977-1979) are great-looking cars that were popular in their day but are hard to find today. These Thunderbirds feature a unique wrap-over \"basket handle\" roofline with opera windows and large rear side quarter windows separated from the rear window by thin C-pillars. Headlamps hidden with retractable covers and full-width dropped center taillamps made a comeback in the late 1960s. Looking at this beautiful Bird today, with its interesting styling features, will transport you back to the 1970s. This well-cared-for 1979 Ford Thunderbird is finished in Dove Gray paint that appears original and presents well. Under the long hood is a smooth-running 302 cubic inch V8 paired with an automatic transmission-power steering and brakes, an AM radio, cruise control, and cold air conditioning inside. The clean, original dark red cloth interior is accented with glorious fax burled wood grain trim that immediately lets you know you are in an American car built in the 1970s. The wood grain dash assembly features round gauges that fully complement each other temperature, oil pressure, amp meter, fuel, clock, and, best of all, a rare factory tachometer-upgraded with carefully selected 17-inch American Racing Wheels and sport tires that look fantastic on this car. Bilstein shock absorbers have been installed to improve handling without sacrificing the smooth ride these cars are famous for.

This excellent survivor car is seldom seen at car shows but is sure to gather admirers when it appears. Full of comfort, style, originality, and character, this rare bird presents a chance to own something cool that will stand out from the flock.
