Mopars B Bodies are a pile of fun, and they just get better when the top goes down. This ones a real looker in RR1 Yellow with a new black interior, and it will run all day with its original 318 under the hood. This is a PERFECT car for parades, car shows or just running out to get some ice cream on a warm summer night! Outside, the yellow paint (and yes, its just "yellow" since Mopar hadnt gotten around to the wild names yet) is clean and shiny from one end to the other. The sheet metal appears to be original, the gaps are where they should be and the original trim is solid. New bumpers add flash to the front and rear. Theres a new top and new rear window on the original frame, and its actuated by a new convertible top pump. The lights work as they should and theyre in excellent shape. This is a Belvedere II, which is the mid-range model in the line, and its got the right trim and badges to prove it. Inside, youre sitting on a freshly restored, cushy bench seat. Theres a new carpet at your feet and new door panels at your sides, but the rest of the equipment is just as Plymouth sent the car out the door, right down to the factory AM radio. You and your friends will love riding in here: These cars seat four with room to spare, or six in a pinch. The original dash pad looks sharp, as does the original steering wheel. A quick scan of the trunk reveals a new mat hiding the spare tire. The paint job continues under the decklid and inside the door jambs and engine compartment-it wasnt a rush job by any means. Pop the hood and youll see the factory original 318 engine. This is the LA version which was used from 66 on and not the older "Polysphere" unit, so parts are a snap to find. The original carburetor hides under the original air cleaner. However, the original distributor was jettisoned in favor of a bulletproof Mopar electronic ignition setup. A fresh battery, new battery cables, voltage regulator and a new alternator allay fears of charging system problems. The new master cylinder and rebuilt brakes below allow you to stop with confidence. Power steerings exactly what you want to find in a cruiser, and it does wonders for maneuvering. Pop underneath and youll find a new, fully welded dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers-they offer a great rumble thats amazing with the top down. A 727 automatic and 8 rear axle get you moving. The floors and frame rails are excellent and original. The wheels are original Mopar pieces and feature clean trim rings and center caps. New F70-14 Firestone bias ply redlines are the perfect finishing touch. If youre yearning for a trip down memory lane, this Belvedere will get you VERY close to 1966 again.
