 Vehicle Description
Diplayed is an original, unrestored "barn find". The car has a 327 that is believed to be numbers matching to the car. I purchased the car from the second owner this past June. Odometer reads around 44K, as I drive the car about once a week. Because the original drums and what appeared to be original rear pads were on the car when I purchased car, it is possible mileage is only 44K? Car seems to drive like it. Second owner could not confirm story when he bought the car with just less than 35K. Please note black vinyl top is original and has only one small hole. The white spot on roof is glare in the picture, NOT A RIP IN THE VINYL. The paint is original and needs a repaint. There are a few minor rust spots in the typical places (I am told), namely at base of fenders. There is a poorly finished surface rust spot about 3" diameter (as far as I can see) on passenger quarter panel, another at lower rocker panel trim, and strangely two very small (less than dime-sized) in hood in front of air grills at windshield that do go through. Underside of car looks good and trunk and all floor pans are fine, no rust or holes. Please ask for specific pictures and I will be happy to post them. Please remember, this car was found in a field behind an out-building, under a fir tree, covered in years of moss, leaves and pine needles up to the top of the cowl intake. New upgraded HEI ignition was in it when I got it. I have tuned it, new belts, new brakes in rear, new front and rear shocks, new master cylinder and rear brake lines. The front brakes are still in good working shape with what looks like original rotors and hardware, if not original front pads! I just cleaned and bled them. The motor runs like new. Needs ball joints, especially the lowers, front bench seat is ripped and it has 2 rips in what appears to be the original headliner. The dash is perfect with no cracks but, the radio needs to be replaced. This is a well-running and driving, survivor car I feel confident driving anywhere. This Tuxedo Impala Custom would make a perfect collector restoration, resto-mod touring car, or a great SS clone hot rod project. I have too many others that need to go first unfortunately and simply don't have the room to keep it.

Thank you for looking. Serious offers only please. No dealers please.
