 Vehicle Description
This 1956 Chevy 210 offers a very cool ownership history, with the original buyer keeping it for an astounding 54 years! With a brilliant two-tone green and white paint job, a comfortable matching interior, and a warmed-over 327 with an overdrive transmission, its a fantastic car if youre into cruising and dont want to worry about your car going out of style. Theres just no way to make a 1956 Chevy look bad. The color combination is a nod to the original code 702 Sherwood Green over Pinecrest Green, and it seems to draw out the details in the sheetmetal, including the eyebrows extending from just behind the headlights and the subtle lip that defines the rockers and fender openings. The bodywork is straight, and even in those massive rear quarters theres not a ripple anywhere to be seen. Up close, its obvious that someone spent a ton of time wet sanding and buffing the finish, and even though its a few years old now, it still looks fantastic. The trim was also refinished, and all the pieces are still present and accounted for. Bumpers are brightly plated, the beautiful grille is sharp and crisp, and the stainless side trim has been polished to a chrome-like shine. Theres a nod to originality inside as well, with matching two-tone seats that combine white vinyl with green fabric to create a handsome, comfortable driving environment. Matching door panels bring the dark green paint inside and add a lot of detail to an otherwise flat expanse. The original dash still carries the 1956 instrument cluster, and theres a polished billet strip that defines the dashboard. Of course, if youre going to drive, sweating it out to the sound of whatevers still playing on AM radio just doesnt work, so an under-dash A/C system and an AM/FM/CD stereo has been added, making this a no-compromises cruiser that can be driven anywhere in style and comfort. Even the trunk includes sculpted side panels and matching carpets. Power comes from a snarky 327 cubic inch small block that has been built to cruise. Its not over-detailed for show, but in terms of roadability, few engines can match this one for entertainment out on the highway. Tidy engineering puts all the maintenance items within easy reach, and it has a satisfying OEM look that matches its confident attitude on the highway. Edelbrock supplied the intake manifold and carburetor and the header-fed dual exhaust has a set of proper mufflers so its got some muscle, but a mellow kind of muscle. Backed by a freshly rebuilt 700R4 4-speed automatic overdrive transmission and a 10-bolt on the original suspension, the drivetrain is rugged and reliable. It rides on stylish and timeless polished American Racing Torque Thrusts with 245/45/17 front and 285/40/17 rear BFGoodrich radials that fill the wheel wells quite nicely. Classic looks and a few modern upgrades make this 1956 210 an easy choice for your next cruise night ride. Dont miss this opportunity and call us today!
