| This is unquestionably the most highly optioned 1957 Chevy weve ever seen. With 42 factory options, plus a 283 and a classic Matador Red paint scheme, its the ultimate example of the ultimate 50s cruiser. Its hard to go wrong with a bright red 57 Chevy convertible, and if youve been waiting for the right opportunity to come along, well, this is your chance. The restoration is recent, and with a car this unique, you know they went the extra mile. Its hard to screw up a 57, since practically everyones an expert, so the guys doing the work were extra careful to get it right. All the distinctive Bel Air trim was fully restored, including the anodized side panels that are the 57s calling card. And at a glance, youll note a few of those 42 options, including fender skirts and dual power antennas on the rear deck, not to mention the factory-installed continental kit and ultra-rare lower trunk lid edge molding. The chrome is downright gorgeous, and youll probably find that few other cars can compete for attention when this convertibles around. The red and silver theme continues inside, where the interior has been fully restored to original specifications. That means fresh button-tufted seat covers, new black carpets (with contrasting red mats), and artfully designed door panels that seem to mirror the external trims shape. The 50s were the pushbutton age, and this car is loaded with electrical gadgets to keep any technophile happy. Among the cooler items are factory A/C, power windows, power seat, a Wonderbar radio with rear speaker, and perhaps coolest of all, an electric shaver. It appears that whomever ordered this car new simply said, "Give me everything." And thanks to the high-quality restoration, this one looks and feels like new. I mean, who do you find to restore a 65-year-old electric shaver? With fresh foam in them, the seats are all-day comfortable and have just the right look, and overhead theres a neatly fitted white power convertible top. The engine is Chevys 283 cubic inch V8 topped by a 4-barrel carburetor. Forget fuel injection and dual quads, if youre someone who wants to drive his Bel Air, this is the best choice. Note that the engine bay is dominated by the factory A/C setup and oil bath air cleaner, but theres no mistaking the Chevy Orange engine underneath. Power brakes and steering (integrated into the generator) are, of course, on the list, and all the little details are correct, from the hose clamps to the decals. Underneath, theres a Powerglide 2-speed automatic, and the chassis has been spotlessly restored to show standards. The original wheels carry optional spinner hubcaps and a recent set of BFGoodrich Silvertown radial wide whites, one of the lone deviations from stock. This is one of those cars where you need to call to get all the details. The options list is extensive, and the car is every bit as remarkable as it seems here. Call today!
