| This frame off restored numbers matching Chevelle SS 396 currently has just over 38,000 original miles. It underwent a concourse level restoration that was completed in 2003 at which time it had just under 35,000 miles. It retains its original L35 396 ci / 325 hp engine and Turbo Hydra-matic 400 transmission both of which were completely rebuilt during the restoration. The restoration is of top quality using the correct hoses, clamps, nuts, bolts, tires, jack, trunk mat and T-3 head lamps. Not only is the driveline completely numbers matching but you will also find that the heads, distributor, intake manifold, carburetor and exhaust manifolds are as well. In fact the only items that have been changed are the alternator, water pump, Petronics ignition and mufflers. It is nicely optioned with power steering, power brakes, front disc brakes, blinker tachometer, deluxe front belts, rear speaker, AM/FM push button radio, center console, tinted windshield, black vinyl roof, clock, floor mats, front bumper guards, rear bumper guards, bucket seats, vinyl stripes and a glove box light. The body is laser straight and gleams with the show quality Butternut Yellow (Y) paint. The Black (763-B) interior is in perfect shape and perfectly compliments the Butternut Yellow paint both of which are original colors to the car. This car is 100% correct and truly worthy of being displayed at any museum.
