| Vehicle Description |
This is a 1 family owned 1963 Catalina Ventura that was bought new in 1963 in Hondo, Texas by my grandfather. Garage kept Texas car for 45 years. Our Cat has a 389 V-8, the tricolor rally interior, factory AC (needs freon)and the Wondertouch power steering as well as the prettiest top that looks like a convertible hardtop. This is and everyday driver that runs and drives very well with no fuss and is a pleasure to operate. Over the past 4 years I have replaced the carburator, fuel pump, coil and external resistor, plugs, wires, points and cap, brake booster and mstr cyl. and rubber brake hoses. I have also pulled the gas tank and flushed it as well as replacing the hard to find fuel filter/sending unit. Engine has been rebuilt and the original heads are converted with hard seats to run today's leadless pump gas. She starts right up cold and runs great at all engine speeds with no flat spots or hesitation. Interior is all original and in great condition, front bench seat has been recoverd but the rest is original The body is in very good condition with a 10 foot repaint from the late 70's. All the bright metal is in good order and shiny, glass is in perfect condition and original with factory windsheild tint. The trunk floor needs to be replaced, we all know what happens when the seal gets old. There are 2 small spots of rust on the body at either lower corner of the drivers rear wheel arch from petrol overspilling that dissolved the undercoat, floor pans are solid as is the rest of the car. No major collisions, my mom backed it into a tree while in college in 1966 and dinged the rear bumper which was straightened later. There is also a small oil-can dent on the drivers rear quarter panel sans my grandmother and a shopping cart This is a 46 year old everyday survivor and it has multiple dings and scratches from 46 years of parking lots, it is not a show car. Our Cat has current tags and inspection and all electrics are in working order. I can no longer keep this car in a garage so its time for a new owner with the resources to take care of such a beautifull piece of American Automotive history. I get tons of thumbs up and good comments/questions about this old girl and she will take care of you if you treat her like a lady.
P.S. If you are a scammer dont waste your time and mine, stop stealing and repent. I am not going to send you money, only a message of repentence. This is a cash only sale. |
