The list of goodies in this power-plant that help to make the well over 650HP are awesome such as: Custom Tricked Heads with Polished Aluminum Manley Valves, 1000 CFM Holley Custom Carburetor, LS7 Lifters and 1.7 Rockers & a studded Girdle, Holley Electric Fuel Pump that pumps the sweet 106 Octane libations from a 12 gallon fuel cell located under the trunk floor, MSD Mallory Distributor and Rev Limiter, A Griffen Aluminum Radiator with an electric Water-Pump & Fans, 2 Optima Batteries and so much more. All this Horsepower is mated to a Custom Built GM 400 Turbo Hydramatic Transmission with a reverse manual valve body, Turbo Action Air Shift, TCI Chromemolly 4500RPM Stall Speed Converter with a Trans-Cooler and Trans-Brake. The power is put to the pavement via a Powder-Coated Narrowed Ford 9" with 4.88:1 gears and Summers Brothers Axles. The all steel body with Tilt Hood and removable nose is finished in beautiful Cherry Red Base Coat/Clear Coat, and all Glass has been replaced with crystal clear Lexan for overall weight reduction. The laser straight body sits atop a fully Powder-Coated Steel Tube Chassis & 12 Point Padded Roll Cage all designed by Phil Austin with Front Strange upper and lower A arms and adjustable Coil Over Shocks and in the rear a 4-Link Ladder Bar adjustable Coil Over suspension, oh yes and wheelie bars to help keep the front end on the ground during launching. She stomps the pavement while on the street with Monster Mickey Thompson tires out back and skinny's up front mounted on Weld Wheels, but while at the track she comes with Huge Good Year Eagle Slicks in the rear and Hoosier Drag tires up front mounted on Centerline Wheels. The all Aluminum Interior has nothing but the necessities like a quick release Grant GT Steering wheel with push buttons for shifts, Autometer Gauges including Tach and finally Racing Bucket seats with Stroud 5-point racing harnesses, sorry no sound system in this racer. Keeping her straight down the road is the Rack-N-Pinion Steering assembly & helping to bring this monster to a halt are the Wilwood Disc Brakes front and back. This 1966 Fairlane is one Mean-Machine that was done right and looks fast sitting still, yet she is civilized just enough to intimidate all that dare her while on the Street.
