DESCRIPTION

Originally built by the factory as an RS, this Camaro has been upgraded to a SS 396 clone. The car has gone through an extensive restoration and the results are one of the finest restored vehicles that we have ever seen. This is a two owner car; the current owner purchased it from the original owner in 1977. At the time it was a stock RS with a 327 cu in engine, a 2 speed automatic transmission, power steering, power brakes AND a tilt wheel.
Over the years, the car was completely restored and rebuilt including many upgrades, using primarily nos (new old stock) Chevrolet parts. The car received a complete frame off restoration with the body and frame chem-stripped (dipped) and then epoxy primed and seam sealed. The rear quarter panels were replace with nos quarter panels and outer wheel wells.
Upgrades include a 1970 stock 454 cu. in. block with 18,000 miles including the correct intake manifold and carburetor and jet hot coated headers connected to a Turbo 400 automatic transmission and a 12 bolt 3:73 positraction rear end from a Z28 Camaro. Brake and fuel lines are stainless steel as is the stainless steel Magna-flow exhaust. The factory original four piston brakes have been restored and are retained. The suspension includes Global West upper and lower control arms, Del-aluminum bushings and ½ inch lowering springs, Hotchkiss sway bars Additionally a quick ratio steering box has been added and the wiring harness is all new.
The vehicle has been magnificently repainted in its original Granada Gold finish offset with a correct black vinyl top. The interior is completely redone in the correct RS deluxe gold trim. All gauges are original and restored. The fenders, hood, grill and GM emblems are all nos stock. The car rides on Diamondback Classic gold line tires and 15” Rallye wheels
The car comes with a photo album of the complete restoration as well as all receipts. It has been driven only 30 miles since completion and the odometer shows only 84,391 total miles. This is truly a rare opportunity to purchase a unique, magnificently restored 1967 Camaro resto-mod at a very reasonable price.
