This Imperial VIN: C576661, has been on jack stands since 1961 in and around Santa Paula, CA (west of LosAngeles near Thousand Oaks, CA). Where it was sidelined for mechanical repairs. The Engine and transmission have been professionally rebuilt this year. The car is complete and is good condition for a project. Very clean with little rust. The milage is showing 13,879 miles, accurate but not verifiable. We believe the car made more than three trips across country in its short driving history. The previous owner was an employee of Lockheed Aircraft Corporation as there is a sticker on windshield, evidenced by a Lockheed Aircraft parking sticker from plant in Georgia and a 1958 Canada travel sticker on the windshield.
RECENTLY REBUILT: 392 HEMI ENGINE AND TORQUEFLITE TRANSMISSION (think what that is worth)
The car is complete and body is solid. Very little rust (and I mean wast coast desert little) Could find only around the stainless trim at rear window and around the trim on the trunk lid wheel. Even in the engine what looks in the photos like discoloration is dirt and oil. The Brown and Tan Leather is still supple and playable. Only one piece, the center brown section between the front seats the arm rest is hard and we believe it is the foam under the leather that has hardened (note photos where I am pressing the leather with my hand) The only documents obtained with the car were the original CA Pink Slip and black plates. The gentleman who found the car in the estate also gave me a bill of sale.
