Chassis and rear by Ken’s Kustom Chassis Leesport Pa. Rear is a Strange 9” Ford center section with 4:11 gears and 35 spline axles with a billet Detroit Locker and AFCO double adjustable shocks. Front end is a Mustang II clip by Fat Man Fabrications with tubular A arms with Carrera coil over shocks and Mustang rack. The center section of the frame is original. Wiring is a Ron Francis kit installed by myself. Wheels are Custom American Racing Torque Thrust II. 14X15 rear with Hoosier Pro Street Radials 31X18.50 and front 4X15 with 26X7.50. The rear brakes are from ECI they are Pontiac rotors and Cadillac calipers. The fronts are late model Camaro. The motor is a GM crate 502 cubic inches and 502 horsepower, with a Barry Grant fuel system. The headers were built by Steve Kaliher of Frackville, Pa. The mufflers and oval pipe for the exhaust are by Spin Tech of Riverside Ca. All the fittings and braided hose are by Russell Performance. The cooling system is by Evans with a Fluidyne radiator. The transmission is a Chevy turbo 350 reworked. The interior has Auto Meter gauges in the original dash with carbon fiber accents by Travis Snyder. Bucket seats are from a 2000 Subaru Forster. Carpet and interior cloth were done by C.J. Young of CJ’s upholstery Locustdale Pa. With all original moldings and handles used. The front fenders and hood and trunk lid are fiberglass by The Glass Shop, BelAir Maryland. All body work was done by Chuck, Dustin, and Drew Miller of Birdsboro Pa. Metal fab work by Walter Staller Schuylkill Haven Pa. and Metal Service Reading Pa. Paint is water base, color is Sparklesent Mango by Auto Air Colors, East Granby Ct. applied by Bob Barber and Chuck Miller of Paintworks Pottstown Pa. The grill and lower trim is chrome paint by ALSA Corp. California. The frame is painted with POR-15 Paint. Roll bar and under carriage and metal painted with Rust-Oleum Stainless Steel color paint. Any parts that were chromed were done by Qual Krom of Erie, Pa. This car runs and drives great, it does not get hot, it has been in crusies with temps. in the high 90's. The car was featured in Super Rod magazine in 2007. It has won many best of show and first place awards, including the Studebaker Nationals in 2008. It was picked by famous drag racer Bruce Larson at the Garage Club car show. In 2006 it caught the eye of Big Daddy Don Garlits at the MId-Atlantic Rod & Custom Car Show in Philadelphia, Pa. When this car was in its orginal condition by an owner in Wisconsin who restored it in 1980 won a Studebaker National Award in 1983 in South Bend, Indiana. I will consider trade for a 1961 Corvette any color with black interior. This car with the cage and roll bar can be certified to drag race.
