 Vehicle Description
If there are any sure things left in the collector car world, the 1969 Camaro Z/28 is one of them. This one is 100% matching numbers and with a fresh rotisserie restoration, it will always be able to find a new home at a premium price. Theyre seeing some nice bumps in value these days, so buy this one now or regret it next year. Nothings better than Lemans Blue on an early F-body, and thanks to a comprehensive restoration, this one is as nice as cars can get. Knowing that Z/28s are on the upswing, the restoration was done to extraordinarily high standards, and no factory-built Camaro ever looked this good. Gaps are exemplary, and the body lines are straight enough to be measured with a ruler. Two-stage urethane paint was used and the white SS stripes were applied using the factory patterns, so it looks exactly right, albeit with a stunning shine. Note that this car carries an ultra-rare Endura front bumper painted to match, which gives the Z an entirely different look when seen from the front. The rear bumper, including the optional bumper guards, wears new chrome, the stainless has been polished, and correct logos have been fitted in the usual locations. The code 715 bright blue bucket seat interior is all-new, including carpets, door panels, seat covers, and the headliner. It also includes an optional center console with auxiliary gauges and factory tach with correct 6000-RPM redline. The rosewood steering wheel is absolutely gorgeous and should have been standard equipment since any early Camaro looks incomplete without it. Theres also an original AM radio in the dash and new weather stripping throughout so it genuinely feels like a new car. Perhaps the only original parts in the entire interior are the armrests on the doors, but even theyre so nice its hard to be certain. The trunk is covered in correct spatter-finish paint with a reproduction mat that fits better than most. Theres also a correct spare and full jack assembly. The shocking thing about this Z is that it carries its original engine, transmission, and rear end, making it truly investment-grade. The DZ-code 302 has been fully rebuilt and detailed for show with correct finned valve covers, cowl-induction air cleaner, and Chevy Orange paint on the block. Finishes are accurate, and little Z/28-specific things like the large-diameter alternator pulley have been retained. Even the shift markings on the firewall were reproduced! Underneath, the Muncie 4-speed is the one born with the car, as is the 12-bolt rear full of 3.73 gears on a Posi. In fact, it might just be a little too nice under there, with glossy body-colored floors, new lines and hoses, and a fresh gas tank out back. A correct dual exhaust system gives it a wonderful period bark that only a high-winding small block delivers, and assembly markings have been reproduced as necessary. Fresh Rally wheels wearing correct E70-15 Goodyear tires finish the show-ready presentation. Go ahead, check the price guides and youll find that this Z/28 is a screaming bargain. With only 300 miles since the restoration, its quite possibly the biggest bang for the buck we have in stock. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Dallas/Fort Worth showroom.
