The black lacquer paint and rechromed pieces present well. Stainless trim appears to be original with dents in only some pieces, no signs of rust or pitting but could use refinishing. All glass appears to be free of chips or cracks, lenses are intact but front indicators do have some cracks.
Seats, carpet, door panels and headliner have been replaced and are clean and free from damage. Dash appears to be original and retains original color of the car. Gauges with the exception of the temperature all appear to be working, clock is not functional. Trunk is in unrestored condition with only minimal surface rust. Factory air conditioning is present but not connected and unrestored.
Straight 8 engine starts easily and runs smooth. Packard has been driven by myself and two independent mechanics and we all agree that the car runs well. The two-speed automatic transmission shifts as it should. Suspension and steering has no surprises. Hydraulic windows were recently serviced with new hoses run to each of the four doors. The hydraulic pump itself appears to be stuck and as such the windows are not currently able to roll up or down. If battery is left connected the malfunctioning pump will drain battery overnight.
