 Vehicle Description
If youre looking for a stock Camaro, weve got plenty. But if youre perhaps looking for something with a little extra, something that will attract everyones attention at shows and add a little more performance under the hood, then perhaps this 1967 RS/SS convertible might be more to your liking. Theres no escaping the incredible paint job on this Camaro, which puts a cool twist on a traditional look. The black is miles deep and expertly applied over some very straight sheetmetal, but thats only part of the story. Beautiful metallic burgundy stripes were laid down next, taking all three of the original stripe patterns and combining them. Then you bury it all under a few coats of clear and color sand and buff it when it dries. The result is a very trick F-body with a look that everyone will recognize. Of course, this car also includes the ever-popular RS grille and hidden headlights, cowl-induction hood, proper SS badges and a ducktail spoiler out back, as well as trick LED taillights. Bright chrome bumpers provide contrast to all that black paint, and the 67s are awesome cars due to their vent windows, which provide great ventilation without the wind-try them and youll wonder how weve gotten by without them for four decades. Mirroring the exterior color scheme, the all-new interior offers bright red buckets, matching door panels and dash, and a contrasting set of black carpets. As a matter of fact, this car originally came with code 741Z red Strato buckets, so they were given new seat covers that replicate the factory pleats. A console between the seats is a welcome addition, and while it doesnt have the optional factory gauge package, it does carry a full array of auxiliary dials hanging under the dash. A billet wheel has been wrapped in matching red leather and looks right in this resto-mods brilliant interior, and still offers a great view of the column-mounted tach, which is fitted to its own color-matched housing. Entertainment comes via a Kenwood AM/FM/CD stereo with door-mounted speakers, and theres a brand-new black vinyl convertible top with crystal clear rear window. Horsepower? Yep, plenty of that here, thanks to a built 350 with an .030 overbore, aluminum heads, and a high-rise aluminum intake. Plenty of chrome gives it enough sparkle to compete with the paint job and Chevy Orange always looks good on anything with a bowtie. Check out the new dual reservoir master cylinder and power brake booster, required upgrades thanks to the 4-wheel disc brakes that now live underneath. And while youre under there checking things out, be sure to note that there are now 5 gears in the transmission, long tube headers, and a set of Flowmasters out back that sound wicked. Floors are spotless, and theres a chrome cover on the 10-bolt rear end so itll look good from the view most folks will get of this car. Big 17-inch Boyd Coddington wheels are a modern twist on the classic Torque Thrust look, and wear 235/45/17 front and 275/40/17 rear BFGoodrich radials. So if youre tired of the same old stock Camaros, perhaps this one with a slight twist on a classic look is what you need. Call today! This vehicle is located in our Charlotte showroom.
