 Vehicle Description
Classic Car Marketing, Inc. Southern California’s premier marketing company is pleased to introduce this new listing offered for sale by one of our clients.
In the world of “Hot Rodding” what could be better than a 32 Ford Roadster? Well how about a 32 Roadster hand built by its owner for the 2011 AMBR competition. Long considered to be the best of the best, AMBR (Americas Most Beautiful Roadster) competition has long been so prestigious that just to get accepted to compete is an award in itself. With millions of dollars being spent on todays advanced roadster builds it’s all most impossible for the garage hot rodder to compete at this level but this owner was not your everyday garage builder. A well known machinist with an outstanding reputation for building quality hot rods for over 55 years, this owner totally got the precise need for quality, design, and function. 5 years ago he envisioned the car every-day in his mind, then he decided it was time to build it for real. It’s chassis, engine (a handmade 296 CI blown flathead), and every tricked-up modification was completed with no build shop, no artist rendering, just good old fashion personal hand work. First he started with a 1948 Mercury block, and in true engineering fashion the owner designed, cast and developed a never before seen head in a completely new style. The custom hand built exhaust and pulleys were completely fabricated by the owner to maximize performance of the mighty flathead. He then added a Wieland 142 Blower, hand worked Holly 500 Double pumper, and two custom radiators designed with an electric fan to be mounted in-between. For the frame he bought a pair of front rails for a 1932 which he extended 7 inches to get that long low look, and for clearance he raised the engine 3 inches to achieve what he needed. He used a T5 transmission out of a late model Mustang and Kugal supplied the front and rear suspension which was completely disassembled and polished out. The body selection was an all steel Brookville which had to be modified by lengthening the doors by 2 inches and channeling the body over the frame by 6 inches. He finished it off with Mercedes Benz carpet, and custom leather interior and top. From the Wilwood Brakes in the front and Corvette brakes in the rear, to the pneumatic rear tail lights, license plate actuator and pneumatic E-brake, this car is one of a kind and must be seen to be appreciated. Offered at a fraction of the build cost at $225,000 OBO. For more information please visit our website at www.classiccarmarketing.net or call us at 619-972-7073. Inspections are encouraged before any purchase, of any vehicle, anywhere.
