DESCRIPTION

1930 Ford Model A

For consignment, a custom creation 1930 Ford Fordor starting with a basic Model A with a Briggs steel body and fiberglass for the fenders and running boards. A stout Chevrolet 350ci small block V8 with a 700R4 transmission, Vintage Air & Heater and AC, a mahogany dash, and much more and all bathed in wonderful House of Kolors Razberry Rainbow Metallic Paint.

Exterior
We are only limited by our imagination and it kicked in big time on this creation which has a chromed radiator surround, chrome caned square woven grille and with a single headlight on either side mounted to a crossbar into the fenders. Also on this bar are turn signals. These fenders are fiberglass and flawless in their curvaceous design gently rolling down to the running board covered in rubber and black paint. This moves rearward and meets up with another rounded fender also in fiberglass. The roofline of the car remains unchopped, and the top is black canvas, meanwhile the glass has been tinted and is like new. The hood has no side cowls and this is a good thing as it has a hot engine underneath with plenty of bling to gaze at. The Razberry Rainbow Metallic is beautifully applied and is miles deep for the steel body. On the back, the roofline dives straight downward to the black painted and chrome edged steel fuel tank that has backup lights in it and a backup camera and rear sensor. Teardrop chrome bezel tail lights cling tightly to the fenders and a frenched 3rd brake light is just below the rear glass. 15-inch polished multi-spoke wheels are on and good rubber is all around.

Interior
Door panels are covered with a gray cloth and show with a darker gray tuck and roll center panel framed with a hint of purple piping. A shiny central actuator is on under a stitched under sill liner all in broadcloth. The windows are now poweractuated. Suede-esque light gray low back buckets, with more darker small square tuck and roll broadcloth inserts are in front, and a nifty bench in the same pattern is in back. These chairs all have nice dark gray piping on their edges and also are equipped with seat belts. For the dash, the original metal eyebrow is now painted razberry and stretches from door to door. Underneath is a mahogany wood panel for the dash front. Within this wood field are a lineup of machined look Autometer round gauges with shiny bezels. Billet style knobs and Vintage AC and heat controls are also in this wood. A Grant GT wood rimmed rally wheel fronts the dash and is atop of a Flaming River tilt column all in chrome glory. There are 2 power ports, Dakota Digital Cruise control and an AM/FM/CD stereo with speakers throughout the cabin. To the driver\'s left is a backup cam screen on the dash top. Near perfect thick pile dark gray carpeting floods the floors and all other surfaces are a darker gray broadcloth including the headliner with interior lighting.

Drivetrain
Out in the open behind the radiator and under the open cowled hood, for all the world to see is a 350ci V8. On top is a 650 4-barrel Edelbrock carburetor setup with a round chrome air cleaner cover. On the back is a 700R4 4-speed automatic transmission with a cooling fan. This pushes power back to a GM 10 bolt 3.08 posi geared pumpkin. Sanders ceramic coated headers and Dynomax mufflers and plenty of chromed bolt ons for this open air beautiful high end build.

Undercarriage
Clean as a whistle underneath with black boxed frame powder coated straight rust free steel. Up front is a Mustang II front end with a Flaming River manual rack and pinion steering. The rear suspension is a 4 link with coilover adjustable shocks. Wilwood power brakes, (front disc/rear drums), are now stopping this rod.

Drive-Ability
All good, and all working great. This 8 cylinder has some stuff to offer up on the power front. Braking was solid and bias free, and the handling very good as well. All worked just great and plenty of conveniences of a more modern ride.

You will definitely be the envy of your hot rod friends and neighbors with this custom Model A rod, cooker and looker, shades of the early hot rod styling, all bathed in beautiful Razberry Metallic and chrome trimmings. All aspects are attended to and it is definitely a high end build. It must be, our consignor states it has amassed 83 awards with over 50 wins. I\'ll need its autograph!
