1968 oldsmobile 442 convertible. Vin starts with 344 designating it a "REAL 442". Has correct G block C head 400 ( vin doesn`t match) was rebuilt years ago .040, comp 270 cam, correct exhaust manifolds , intake, etc. Air cleaner has been restored also. Carb # is incorrect, but fits/functions correct. Has macthing #`s TH400 rebuilt, Correct 3.08 posi 12-bolt O axle rear. Has global west front upper control arms, B body tall spindles/bigger front disc brakes, stock drum on rear. car handles exeptionally well. wheels are American racing 16X8 torque thrust 2`s. Has rally pack guages/tach/clock, factory buckets/console, A/C, P/S,P/disc brakes. Interior has been redone in CORRECT material. Has factory tilt column with factory 68 wood steering wheel.. top was new about 4 years ago with a very good top/pads. dash has a few cracks. dash metal surrounding area and center console was painted same color as the outside of the car (2000 trans am midnight blue), and look really good. car was completely stripped to metal, new rear 1/4 skins, typical rust repaired. Has some minor flaws (painted 15 years ago), but looks very awsome to this day.Trunk pan will need attention. it`s not too bad, just never had time to do it the way I wanted to. front and rear bumpers are NOT repops and were rechromed. Overall this is an awsome car for the money. again, this is a REAL 442 convertible. Not a clone as so many are popping up these days. It`s not perfect, but extremely nice. THANKS FOR LOOKING
