1968 Shelby GT500
One of the finest and most correct restoration of the 1968 Shelby GT500
This iconic 60's muscle car is truly a rare snake. Purchased from an elderly gentleman who hadn't put the car on the road since 1976. The car was purchased with the Illinois plates were still in the envelope from the DMV.
Subjected to a frame off rotisserie restoration by Steve Miller in 2007.
The car is completely numbers matching, from the motor, heads, carb, trans, rear end, etc. In fact the interior is original and was not restored only freshened during the restoration. The carpet, seats, headliner are all original, as well as the radio.
During the restoration NOS tires and hubcaps were found, which were original to this car. This Shelby GT500 has full documentations including the build sheet and Marti report and is in the Shelby registration.
Powered by a 428 ci motor producing a conservative 335 hp. only 1140 Shelby GT500 were made in 1968 |
